ADP Workforce Now - Retrieve a Forgotten User ID and Password

Retrieving Your Forgotten User ID

  1. Visit www.workforcenow.adp.com on your computer 
  2. Click Need help signing in?
  3. Click Next after typing in the following:
    • Mobile phone number
    • Email Address
  4. Enter your legal name
  5. Verify your info by entering one of the following:
    • SSN, EIN, TIN, or ITIN
    • Date of birth
    • Associate ID
  6. Review the We found you window. Enter the Last 4 digits of SSN, EIN, or ITIN, if requested and then click Next.
    • A window with Name, Organization, and User ID will display.
  7. Click Done to return to the login screen.

Resetting Your Password in Workforce Now

  1. Navigate to the ADP Workforce Now login page.
  2. Type in your User ID, click Next, and select Need Help Signing In?
  3. Enter the email or mobile number on file then click Next.
  4. Select one of the options below for security verification (options may vary).
    • Send me an email.
    • Send me a text message.
    • Let me answer security questions.
  5. Proceed with the verification process:
    • By email or text message: enter the verification code within 10 minutes and click Submit.
    • By security questions: Click Next, no verification code is required. 
  6. Select either:
    • Sign In Now if a password reset is not needed.
    • Create New Password. See Password Requirements below.
  7. Click Submit once a new password has been confirmed.

You're all set! Use your new password to log in online or the mobile app!

Password Requirements:

  • Length – passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 64 characters
  • Composition – passwords must include at least 1 uppercase or lowercase letter and at least 1 number
  • Use of special characters is permitted but not required. All special characters on the keyboard are accepted
  • Repeated characters – passwords cannot contain more than 3 repeated characters (e.g., 111,222,...)
  • Sequential characters – passwords cannot contain more than 3 ascending or descending characters (e.g. 123, 321,...)
  • Passwords cannot contain personal identifiable information. This includes Personal Name, Date of Birth, Family Name, Government Identification Numbers, Phone Number, and Email Address
  • Passwords cannot contain a user ID or last name or social security number
  • Password history – passwords cannot be identical to the 4 previously used passwords
  • Passwords are case-sensitive
  • Password aging – passwords expire every 180 days
